sunpeek.core_methods.dcam_lite_collective.dcam.convert_parameters.convert_to_2n(collector, f_prime_c, specific_volume, reference_conditions)#

This implements the parameter conversion of ISO 9806 to D-CAM 2-N parameters, under given reference conditions.

Parameters:
  • collector (CollectorType) – ISO 9806 performance parameters are taken from this collector.

  • f_prime_c (pint.Quantity, dimensionless) – Additionally to the ISO 9806 collector parameters, this function requires the collector efficiency factor f_prime_c of the collector. f_prime_c is the “constant collector efficiency factor”, usually denoted with an upper case F'_c. Typical values for f_prime_c are in the range of 0.95 to 0.98. f_prime_c can be estimated from collector geometry and materials as F_c’ = u_int /(u_int + u_1) F’ = u_int /(u_int + u_1 + u_2 (T_s − T_amb ))

  • specific_volume (pint.Quantity, compatible with m**3 m**-2) – Specific fluid content of the collector, in terms of fluid volume per m² gross collector area.

  • reference_conditions (Dict[str, Q]) –

Dictionary with reference conditions for parameter conversion. Expected keys and values: ref_irradiance : Q, compatible with W m**-2

Total irradiance in collector plane, used for collector parameter conversion.

    ref_deltaT_s_ambQ, compatible with K

Temperature difference between solid part of the collector (T_s in the D-CAM 2-N model) and the ambient temperature.

    ref_fluid_heat_capacityQ, compatible with ‘J kg**-1 K**-1’

Heat capacity of the heat transfer fluid, used for collector parameter conversion.

    ref_fluid_densityQ, compatible with ‘kg m**-3’

Density of the heat transfer fluid, used for collector parameter conversion.

    ref_specific_mass_flowQ, compatible with ‘kg m**-2 s**-1’

Mass flow per gross collector area of the array, used for collector parameter conversion.

Returns:

Return type:

Params2N
